Sha in East Village

While walking around the East Village on my birthday, I had to stop a young lady named Sha to capture her for my blog. I am very into the peplum trend lately and she wore a bright red colored top which she belted to give the "peplum" feel. She paired it with berry colored pants and an orange mini satchel for a chic and colorful afternoon look.

She's adorable! I love being inspired by style like hers while in NYC.

Penthouse Style

As expected, there were many stylish ladies and gents at the Bar III Penthouse event for the Macy's Impulse collection. I only had the chance to snap a few but here they are:

Claire Geist of Deluneblog.com (great blog, BTW so check her out, plus she has a beautiful post of this look). She had such a sweet personality and great style wearing denim vest, ripped cut-off denim, boots and cowboy hat to top off the fiery red hair.

Maggie in a sequined top paired with chunky assorted metal necklaces.

She commented that she hates pictures but I don't know how with a fabulous look like this! Loved the pop of pink lipstick against the black and white outfit.

Selina

As I was leaving graduation this weekend, my sister and I spotted a head-to-toe fashionista and luckily, she stopped her for a picture! We found out that her name is Selina and the beautiful necklace she is wearing is from her mother's own boutique (If you see this Selina, PLEASE send me the info to your mom's boutique so I can feature). Her shoes are from Zara and dress, I believe from H&M, and wow did she wear it well! The colors were beautiful and the outfit was not at all overdone. Perfect for a sunny day at a graduation and any events that she may have taken a part of after.

Students and Style

My school (soon to be Alma Mater), Howard University was voted as the number two best-dressed college in the nation not long ago by The Huffington Post. But it is nothing new for HU to be featured or known for its fashion. It's normal, expected even, for students to dress to the nines for Econ class or  throw on a pair of heels to chill on the yard. Being around this group of creative, eclectic individuals in my last weeks here makes me realize how much I cherish and will miss the inspiration I gain from them everyday.

She has a beautiful spirit and creative personality- It's Rayla!

NYFW Street Style 3

My final round of great street style from New York Fashion Week for the Fall 2012 Collections...It was soo fun to shoot people and be in the mix of the fashion week scene (not to mention soo cold!) Until next, time...

How adorable and delicate are the frilly socks and pretty pumps?
Hey Fashion Steele! Nia Fashionista loves your style ;-)

One of my favorite looks of the week with her neon green collared shirt and fluffy fur coat.

An impromptu fashion show!

Loving her Macy Gray vibe!

It wouldn't be Fashion Week if Bryan Boy wasn't there!

Correction: It wouldn't be fashion week if Rumi Neely AND Bryan Boy weren't there.
