Chic and Classy x B&W

The photographer, Jordan Spry, for chic and classy also did the pictures in B&W. I couldn't decide which ones to post as they were all lovely so I decided to do two posts so that you can have a look at the pictures both ways. Which do you prefer?

Chic and Classy (Shot by Jordan Spry)

I shot with another great photographer this weekend named Jordan Spry, who happens to be one of my QuadDrew bros. We went on a rooftop where we could virtually see all of DC. As we caught up on life and post-graduation plans, he captured me in a classy, chic outfit comprised of classics such as a blazer, black pumps, and silk collared shirt.

Mudam Luxembourg

I visited the Museum of Modern Art in Luxembourg, the Mudam while there this Winter. There were new installations and exhibits, this time focusing a lot on science and reinventing ways of thinking and living. The "I've Dreamt About," collection comprises works of different artists and their visions of the world while the main installation, "The Nervous System (Inverted), from Conrad Shawcross focuses on scientific ideas.

Pink and Blue (Shot by Bree Gant)

Today, I did a mini photo-shoot with Bree Gant, an amazing photographer from my school (well she's actually a recent graduate, congrats girl!). Anyway, I finally had an excuse to wear an outfit my sister helped me pick out before school even started this year. It's bright and great for a cold winter day, though today was quite nice. I decided to pair it with my new fur coat, leopard print Sam Edelman shoes and hand-me-down brown sack from none other than, my sister.

Bree is truly amazing! Make sure to check out her blog

I wore:
BCBGeneration: Hot-Pink Silk Collared Shirt
Zara: Blue pleated Skirt
Sam Edelman: Leopard Print Shoes
Accessorize: Brown messenger bag
JCPENNEY: Fur Coat

Matthew 6:25-34

Tonight at Bible Study, OP and I read Matthew 5-6 and discussed. As I read chapter 6 I saw many highlighted parts from a time that had previously read this chapter and felt compelled to share one of the biggest highlighted parts on my blog. Hope it inspires any readers that see it.

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The Dercksen Residence: New Year's Dinner Table

OP's family set up the dinner table so lovely while I visited Luxembourg. Unfortunately, the beautiful pics from my favorite set-up from Christmas Dinner were destroyed while uploading onto my computer =( . However, I did get the chance to take another unique and classy set-up on New Year's. Ms. Alina and her husband, Mr. Dercksen, keep their home at the highest level of upkeep with classy details and sophistication brimming throughout. Perhaps it is the mix of her Ukrainian background with his Dutch...or simply an innate sense of style. Either way, they have an undeniably lovely home and take excellent care of their guests.

It's quite modern and extremely classy! It makes me excited to have my own home one day and decorate it beautifully for parties, holidays and just regular days.
