Tony Towerz x Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry brought another hilarious hit to DC all last week called "The Have's and the Have Not's," a play about, well, people that have and their counterparts that do not. At first, Rose provides the sole income for the house, up for eviction, working for a rich couple but when her husband Frank is offered a job as a handyman, his check is more than he bargained for.

I was invited by a good friend to come to the show and it definitely delivered laughs and a great moral,as do all of Perry's productions.  However, I must admit it did leave me with the feeling that though I had never seen it before, I had.

But something, or someone rather, that I had not seen before was one of the stars of the play, Tony Towerz, who played Frank. After the show I had the chance to chat with Tony and find out more about his off-stage life and fashion style. Starting out as a singer, which is no surprise considering his excellent numbers during the show, Tony found his way into Tyler Perry's play recently and is trying a new arena. However, dressing fashionably is nothing new for him. While we kicked it at T.J. Stone's I found out that he "loves to thrift," as do I. He definitely knows how to thrift right (check out his slick black leather jacket).
